Below is a stills from the final comp .That aerial establishing shot of 16 th century London is a combination of pics and CG elements .The upper riverbank and the Tamise river consist in a photomontage including many separate layers like the river , the trees and the houses that would be later camera projected on a poor geometry . For the lower part , I was first given a top view of the CG scene wtith the right position of the castle and some houses . It was up to me to recreate a large ground texture , trying , with the support of a few history books , to respect what the surrounding area of the castle looked like at this time ! Most of the foreground elements ( the trees , the houses and the castle ) are full CG , necessary for the camera movement and the stereo constraint .
