ILM asked Rodeo FX to create vfx for the final sequence in wich soldiers are honored on the tarmac of a ficive military airport . Below is the matte painting used for an establishing shot . The whole piece is a photo montage and brush job in photoshop except the planes , supplied by the CG crew . Altough they do not appear there , plates of soldiers would be later integrated in the middle area by comper Laurent Spielmaker .
